[Letter to Nagato] ~20th of March

[She'd been intending to write him something for a while, but most of her earlier drafts had been scrapped. Then, she determined that it was best to send him a physical letter, rather than simply send him something on a scroll that he would more easily (and rightfully) disregard.
She was no diplomat, but it was for Konoha's sake that she try, at least. Especially being the person who caused the trouble in the first place.
The penmanship on the letter, which would arrive a few days later than having just written him something on a scroll would have, was precise and careful. There was more weight to it than her usual handwriting, but it was necessary to keep it even. There are no crossed out or hesitant words, because she simply threw out the letters that were less than perfect. The letter itself was tightly rolled and carried by a crow that was quite possibly borrowed from her teacher.]
Honorable Lord Nagato,
I apologize for the intrusion of this letter, but I am compelled to do this much in the interest of both of our nations. I do not presume to request nor to expect for any measure of forgiveness for my actions, though I offer my sincerest apologies regardless. However, please do not look poorly upon the land of Fire, Konoha, or its ninja.
Though I should not ask anything of you after such mistreatment and hostile actions, I still must plead for this. I am not a worthy representation of the shinobi that Konoha has to offer. Please do not consider me as such: even for the presumptuousness as to writing this letter. I am certain you've already discovered for yourself in your interactions with the nation that the other shinobi of the Leaf are far more honorable, reliable, and reasonable shinobi than myself. All that I hope is that you will not look poorly upon those shinobi, or search for the shortcomings in them that are mine alone.
I won't disturb you with further correspondence on this matter or others, I only ask that any feelings of discontent or displeasure that you may hold be directed at this one shinobi alone, rather than bring retribution upon those who would never take such inappropriate actions toward you.
