mother_earth[The symbol that appears on the scroll is for a shinobi that has been long missing and presumed dead by their home village. It was salvaged from a corpse in the last few days and it will likely come as a shock and cause some confusion for any who recognize the symbol belonging to a missing shinobi from Konoha potentially gone missing in the last year while on a mission.]
Hello.
If it wouldn’t be too much trouble could we ask a few questions of the scrolls at large? We seem to be in need of some information. If you do provide any information for us, it won’t be without compensation. But we’ll work out terms on a case by case basis.
Most pressing right now is location. We seem to be on an...island. The water is blue/green calm presently, but it’s not clear. Sort of cloudy, the bottom not something that can be seen beyond the first few feet. There seemed to be another landmass off to the southwest, southeast, and northwest.
[The handwriting changes. The easy loopy handwriting changing to a different hand entirely. And the tone shifting to seeming playful despite being text on a page.]
Dere’s more than just dhose three. I saw dhem flying over da island. And dere’s a volcano at the center of dhe island too. Don’t do nothin’ tho. All dere is up dere is a building.
[The handwriting changes again, to something painstakingly neat and even.]
Beyond location, we require information on locating supplies. This island will not sustain the needs of our… clan over the long term without contact with others. We seek allies, willing to provide supplies in exchange. Again, compensation will be discussed with each individual or group willing to offer them.
[Another handwriting change, but this one has been blotted out with great enthusiasm. Visible in the thorough blots is "wea" "ki" and the word "asses." The original hand returns now a little rushed at first and then it evens out.]
We’d appreciate greatly if you can help us with any of those things. If you can’t but think you have information we might be interested in about other things, we’ll also welcome that as well.
