I know that there have been some trying issues for all of the villages but I was hoping we could talk about a matter that is neither here nor there.

I do not believe we will have the chance to spar as we had planned earlier, but do you mind answering a few questions about your fan? I am still quite intrigued by it. I hope this is not seen as over-stepping.
