Sorry for the radio silence. How’s my favorite? I’m well you could say. Bored, but well. I mean the hospital work is nice, but I want to do more than being a supply gopher for the other medics. Sometimes they let me tag along for rounds or practice healing little things. I’m whining. Sorry.

I was shopping in the market the other day and came across this old scroll. It was normal when I looked at it more closely, but it reminded me that I hadn’t heard if you’d read your birthday present yet. Have you? And I hope that whatever was within it was to your liking. Maybe even your benefit? You would have told me if it was something really good, right?

And I have puppies! You need to meet them, they’re adorable and I think they would like you. Kakashi-san gave them to me when he was visiting last month. They are the most energetic ninken you’ll ever meet. All warm fur and snuggles; and Tatsu is a huge love when we’re just hanging around my apartment. And Kakashi-san says that there’s potential they’ll be able to talk if I work with them enough and I’m so excited by that. Oh that reminds me I need to send him a note to set up a puppy date. He has this adorable little pup named Pakkun, he’s such a sassy little pug, wish I’d gotten the chance to talk to him more before he went back to wherever ninken call home.

Basically, I was just checking in with you since it’s been awhile. Any chance I can convince you to share where you are so I can come find you? I feel like it’s been ages since your birthday and that’s just far too long you know.

I'm pretty far out east right now, out in the Island system in fact, and I hate to admit but I'm handling a pretty delicate situation. I would love to see you again and meet your puppies though, so is there a place I can meet you in, say, a week? Maybe a little longer?

Oh. Sorry. Um I think I can swing a mission or something. I'll let you know in a day or two? Auntie's been more strict about my going places lately. But I'll see what I can do. She should be okay so long as it isn't something too dangerous. You might have to deal with my teammates and sensei though if it works out.
