That sounds like something sensei would do. I've taught my teammates before, but I have no formal teaching experience; if you're fine with that, I'll be available next month.

More accurately, he offered me any of his students, depending on the element. Told me I should hope for fire, since you had the most informal teaching experience. Fire does seem to come easiest as a secondary affinity.

I'm free anytime next month except when I get sent out on missions that need a tracker. I've cut back on my clinic shifts to allow for more training and missions.

Earth. Hardest element to integrate when clan fighting style depends on rotation and rapid movement.

I know one or two basic fire techniques. I'm a medic, so my chakra control is excellent, and my reserves aren't terrible. I tend to pick things up quickly, but I'm pretty much a blank slate, fire-wise.

Earth won't help your fire nature, but it won't hinder it, either.

What fire techniques do you already know, and how have you found the learning process?

Basic fireballs. Easier than wind or lightning, and much easier than water. I should've expected that, I think. They fizzled the first few tries but it didn't take too long to get a respectable amount of flame.

Ideally I'd like to integrate fire with clan techniques, but I obviously need more thorough training in it first. [Fire cyclones, Sasuke. Just picture it.]

How are you with shape manipulation?

I'll need to see your clan techniques. My experience with Inuzuka styles isn't firsthand.

Unfortunately, not as well practiced as I'd like. I don't expect to struggle too badly with it, it'll just take extra hours of training on my own. [She doesn't expect to be handheld through everything, just shown and told how to do things. Hana isn't taking any risks when it comes to her dogs, and she wants good control over flames before bringing them into a fight alongside her ninken.]

That's fine. We're a little less secretive than some clans, given how many of our techniques involve the bond with our partners.

It's a primary part of using fire jutsu, so I expect we'll work on it. If you have time to review it before we meet, that will be ideal.

If you have any manuals or scrolls that I should review beforehand, send them to me and I will do so.

Of course. I won't waste your time on things I can learn from publicly available scrolls.

I have to double check family policies on scroll sharing, but there are probably one or two that would be useful. I'll get a copy to you.

Anything providing basic insight into how your jutsu is intended to function in a battle environment will work. I'll review them before we meet.
